Auto Repair Services

From daily drivers to collector vehicles, GT Automotive provides comprehensive auto repair services designed to extend vehicle life and preserve performance.

Brake Repair

Our brake repair services restore stopping power and ensure safe, predictable braking performance. Brake service may be needed if you hear grinding or squealing when stopping, feel vibration through the pedal, or notice reduced braking response.

Oil Change

We offer regular, synthetic blend, and full synthetic oil changes based on your vehicle’s manufacturer requirements. Staying on schedule helps prevent engine wear, sludge buildup, and long-term performance issues.

Car Heater Repair

We diagnose and repair heating systems to restore proper cabin warmth and defrost performance. Heater service may be needed if your car blows cold air, fogs excessively, or struggles to warm up.

Transmission Repair

Our transmission services address leaks, shifting problems, and performance concerns before they escalate into major failures. Warning signs may include slipping gears, delayed engagement, or unusual noises while driving.

Alignment & Steering

Our alignment and steering services restore proper handling, stability, and tire wear. Alignment or steering service may be needed if your vehicle pulls to one side, the steering wheel is off-center, or you notice uneven tire wear or wandering while driving.

Electrical Repair

We diagnose and repair electrical systems that control vehicle operation, safety, and comfort. Electrical service may be needed if you experience warning lights, intermittent power loss, starting issues, malfunctioning accessories, or unexplained battery drain.

Radiator Repair

Radiator and cooling system repairs help regulate engine temperature and prevent overheating. Coolant leaks, visible corrosion, or frequent overheating are common signs of radiator issues.

Check Engine Light

We use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify the true cause behind warning lights. A check engine light may indicate anything from a minor sensor issue to a system that needs immediate attention.

Head Gasket Repair

Our head gasket repair services address overheating, coolant loss, and engine performance issues caused by internal leaks. Service may be needed if you notice white smoke, engine overheating, or unexplained coolant loss.

About GT Automotive

Designed to earn your trust in our complete auto repairs, GT Automotive was founded on November 1, 1980. Originally located in a small 2 bay shop on the corner of 5300 South State Street, we quickly outgrew that building and moved several times in the Murray/Midvale area. In January 2004, we made plans for a new shop in South Jordan and put the old place up for sale. We then began the process of procuring financing and building permits, and in April 2005, we opened the new shop for business. Our Mission: To build relationships and provide an outstanding experience for our customers while maintaining the highest standards for honesty and integrity.
